The MoonRakers - Space Time

A journey into the outer and the inner; the known and the unknown; the present moment in which for a minute the pains of the world are forgotten.
Soulful and rich, haunting and beautiful, the saxophone and trombone see us through. The MoonRakers new EP ‘Space Time’ gives birth to a genre bending release far different from anything in their past. The saxophone, trombone and the twinkling of beautifully played guitar holds us steady as we are eased into a jazz fused and methodically curated Psychedelic Journey.
The first two tracks blend voluptuous bass and pristine drums in an effortless flow. As we progress the beats get harder and the instruments more emotive. It is only when we get to the track Retrograde’ that we truly see the scope and technical ability of The MoonRakers: Call it psydub, halftime, psychedelic jungle: this track infuses psydub, jazz, half time and drum n bass into one song. Ending on a perfect storm of Amen Breaks and psychedelic vibes rolling out the beautiful abyss they came from.
The EP finishes out in style, with a twisting halftime tune that focuses heavily on the drums and the bass, as it should, but then we are rewarded with the sweet comfort of the Psychedelic Saxophone. Let The MoonRakers take you on a journey and showcase the culmination of years of effort in the new and fantastic EP ‘Space Time’!
