# Deep Sea Frequencies

Placeholder statement on artisticism, creativity, inspiration, plagiarism and theft:

If you have done Work to Create & Produce something after being inspired, in any capacity, then this is called *inspiration* and *creativity*. 

If you have done "prompting" to instruct a machine to output something after being inspired by someone or something, then this is called *plagiarism* and *theft*. It is also broadly known as *laziness*. 

Deep Sea Frequencies has not yet written a formal declaration of stance on "ai", but as a collective of artists & musicians, we intend to support humans doing art, which thereby requires us to take a stand against machines which output "art" with automacity and based upon stolen memories, experience, skills and intellectual content. 

We are currently drafting a formal statement.
